Anne’s career started in the Arena Stage
costume shop 28 years ago. She spent summers draping at Shakespeare
festivals in VA and CO, and at Washington Opera’s first
local shop. After 3 years as Associate Costumer at the Studio
Arena Theatre in Buffalo, NY, Anne spent 10 years in Hell’s
Kitchen working Broadway, TV, and film. Her favorite jobs
have been crew on the original Assassins at Playwright’s
Horizons, dressing the Hot Box Girls in the 1993 Broadway
revival of Guys and Dolls, and a season on the crew
of Law and Order.
Anne created costume shops on film location
for Cold Mountain, Small Time Crooks, 12
Monkeys, and The Emperor’s Club. Her favorite
film, Bonneville, shot for 10 weeks in Utah, Nevada
and California. Anne had a blast working with Jessica Lange,
Kathy Bates, Joan Allen, and designer Sue Gandy.
Anne’s all-time favorite role however,
is mom to Ryan and Emily here in Vienna, VA.
